12th May 2012 will certainly go down as a historic date for SK Bukit Jelutong. The Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyidin Yasin, today officiated the 10th year Anniversary of the school. It was a very well organised event and attended by pupils and parents.

A group of men, believed to be Indians, are trying to disrupt the security in Bukit Jelutong. They are parang-wielding and attack security guards in Bukit Jelutong. They are behind at least 3 cases of attack. The group was last seen in a Grey Proton Iswara and the guards at Rabung were their latest victim.

Sime has proposed for the conversion of open space in front of Masjid to be converted into a car park. The land in front of Masjid has been handed over MBSA and now MBSA requires consent from the residents.

After more than ten years, our playing field will undergo a well deserved major refurbishment and upgrading. As such the field will be temporarily closed while Sime Darby undertakes the upgrading. The field is scheduled to be reopen within the first week of August 2012. As a temporary measure, the area beside the basketball court will be used as a temporary field. Let's look forward to a nicer and playable community area when it reopens. Residents are advised not to be alarmed when the hoardings are erected. Download the schedule of works here

The Bukit Jelutong Music Festival is back ! This time all the music shools in BJ will show their stuff, plus the students of SMK and SKBJ. Be entertained, be inspired. Line up includes Simfoni Permata Seni (24-piece orchestra), Steve Thornton and Friends, D'Vida and Urban Rock. Day event also includes music workshops for budding musicians. And its all FREE !

The communities ofJalan Adang, Jalan Bidai and Jalan Ubin recently had a representatives meeting to discuss the possibilities of working together with regards to security. The meeting held at the BJRA Secretariat was productive and the communities agreed to combine forces and create a larger security boundary covering all four areas.
