Happenings in Bukit Jelutong
Due to overwhelming response to the event which far exceeded the organiser's expectations, we regret to inform that only the first 165 registrants that submitted their registrations will receive bib numbers and t-shirts. The rest of the registrants will receive only their bib numbers. Nevertheless, all registered runners with bib numbers are eligible for prizes and finisher medals.
The first 165 registered runners are to collect their bib numbers and t-shirts on Thursday 6th October at the BJRA Secretariat, Dewan Guthrie from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. The rest of the registered runners are to collect their bib numbers on Saturday 8th October at Guthrie Pavilion starting 6:30am. Click here to see the list of registered runners
In conjunction with the Hari Sukan Negara on the 10th of October, Sime Darby with the assistance of BJRA will hold a 5km Run in Bukit Jelutong. The Run is open to all residents of Bukit Jelutong and other townships under Sime Darby. For this year, Bukit Jelutong was selected as the event circuit, another testimony to Bukit Jelutong as the township that supports healthy and sporting lifestyle.
After 5 years of dedicated work to the community of Bukit Jelutong, Tn. Insp. Mohd. Azan Radzali will be leaving Balai Polis Bukit Jelutong for a better future. In recognition of his excellent services and policing of Bukit Jelutong, the community decided to give him a warm farewell. Organised by Dato' Azmi Abdullah of BJ Rangers, and supported by MPP 19 and BJRA, a small farewell dinner was held on 28th April for Tn. Azan.
Some BJRA representatives, precinct representatives went over to the Shah Alam Mayor's office to express our appreciation for the quick response from MBSA, TNB, the Bomba and the Police when Bukit Jelutong got hit by a mini tornado on Monday 29th Sept 2014.
Residents are advised that Persiaran Tebar Layar will be closed on Saturday 17th May from 4:00am to 10:00am. This is to facilitate the Sime Darby 10km Group Games Marathon. PDRM has been informed and they will also be manning the road closure poiints.

All faucets at the Surau Rabung was found missing this morning. It is believed that the individual (s) responsible are probably the ones who specializes in stealing metal. We therefore urge other suraus to be on the lookout for suspicious individuals. Residents are also advised to keep a lookout for any suspicious individuals or groups. READ MORE
BJRA is planning to organise a monthly flea market for the community. This requires a lot of planning and time. However, we feel that this well worth the effort to create a closer Bukit Jelutong community. The event is planned to be operational in the next few months. Details will be posted on this website.
