BJRA organised the 1st Bukit Jelutong Precint Reps meeting on 20th January 2010. This is in view that all precints are now populated and the number of residents have increased over the years. Although it was the first of such meeting, the attendance was very encouraging.

Reps who attended the meeting include from Adang, Mihrab, Arca, Ubin (1 and 2), Bidai, Titian, Rabung, and Serambi.

Mr. President, En. Ariffin Buranudeen, welcomed all those attended and a short informal introduction of all present proceeded. After the formality (or informality..), En. Hafiz Iskandar from Sime Properties briefed the meeting on the current and future developments of Bukit Jelutong. He mentioned that Bukit Jelutong is now 80% completed and the rest of the devlopments include commercial and office blocks. The meeting requested that

i) the football field be gazetted as a recreation area, as it currently owned and maintained by Sime Darby Properties.

ii) the Clubhouse location and design

En. Zamri from Jabatan Perpaduan was next to brief the meeting on "Rukun Tetangga" to the interest of all. He briefed on the concept, objective and steps on setting up a Rukun Tetangga committee.

Mr. President also briefed all those present on the activities of BJRA including those planned and underway.

Other matters that were brought up during the meeting were security, speed-breakers, conduct and practise of MBSA contractors.

As usual, during BJRA meeting, it was lively with everyone giving their thoughts and suggestions. The meeting unanimously agreed to make it a monthly event, with the next meeting scheduled on 10th February 2010 at the BJRA Secretariat.
