Looks like Bukit Jelutong is making waves in the newspapers. It was reported that an integrated commercial property will be undertaken to the tune of RM1billion. The project is located near or opposite Sime Darby Pavillion.

I knew this would happen once Sime Darby took over....Guess I will just have to continue moving my family further and further out of Selangor....who knows at this rate we may end up in Kedah....what happened to the Bukit Jelutong promise of clean air and green pastures..

Well....I would think that some commercial development shud be fine for BJ as it is considered the most strategic location between Subang and Shah Alam.It will become more desirable and more value added.I dun think that it will turn into BU or Subang. It should be a cozy lifestyle commercial area...tats cool..

Can planners please include building a pedestrian overhead bridge for those wanting to cross over from the other side of Persiaran Gerbang Utama? I forsee this road will become more busy and rather dangerous to cross.

what do you expect, when there is any dealing taking place the resident are never been told to be involved. We are only told that such and such agreement have been carried out. This new developer is very much moneyminded and not bothered about the well being of the BJ residents.
I bet you soon we will see our green fields (parks, football field and playgrounds) being disposed to others to built petrol station, condo etc...exactly like what happen in SJ.

Do the BJ residents know that the plot of land where kindergarten school( tadika REAL) located next to guthrie hall have been sold to the school owner ....well bottom line is this new developer in BJ is on shopping spree and disposing whatever vacant land it can get hand over it.

Investors and homeowners bought into BJ because of they liked what they saw. Tan Sri Khalid developed BJ to give us an alternative to congested PJ and Subang etc, and we voted loud and clear with our wallets despite the prices.
$ime Darby has a different philo$ophy from Tan Sri Khalid. I hope investors are discerning enough to ask why they should buy into BJ when they can get similar congestion in the other parts of Shah Alam, Kiara, etc etc.

We were one of the pioneers of BJ and one of the main reason for moving to BJ was due to the ample greens in the area. I must say that of late, we have seen concrete coming up in all directions and this is definitely not going the right directions. We can only hope that Sime will not turn this into another Subang Jaya ....

Sunrise is the developer of Mont Kiara in Hartamas. I called that part of town "Condoland". The landscape of "Condoland" can be seen on the right hand side, when you drive on the NKVE nearing the Jalan Duta toll plaza.

My 6 year old son once remarked of how all the condos there looked like the robots in Transformers.

Sime Darby developed Subang Jaya, the congested township that I left to go to Bukit Jelutong. I chose BJ simply because I was in awe of how green and peaceful this place was then.

Even the more than average price of houses here didn't deter me. I was willing to pay the price in return for the hope to raise my kids in a serene and unobtrusive neighbourhood.

That may have been wishful thinking.

The planners MUST not let Bukit Jelutong into another Subang Jaya. This is IMPERATIVE. The roads within this area does not look adequate to handle the extra volumes of traffic. Has a traffic dispersal study been undertaken? Parking spaces? Will we see the likelihood of uncontrolled parking on main roads?
